90-DAY DIAGNOSTIC WARRANTY FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

WHY WE OFFER THIS WARRANTY

At Ashton Heating & Cooling, we want you to feel confident in the service you receive. Our goal is to clean, inspect and maintain your system fully and properly and to diagnose problems accurately and recommend the most cost-effective repair whenever possible. That’s why we provide a 90-Day Diagnostic Warranty on all Magic Maintenance visits and Diagnostic Service Calls.

HOW THE WARRANTY WORKS

If no repairs or maintenance adjustments are recommended by your technician, or if any recommended repairs or maintenance are completed by us or scheduled to be completed by us, the equipment related to your visit will be covered under this 90-Day Diagnostic Warranty.

If that same piece of equipment experiences a failure within 90 days of the original visit, an Ashton technician will return and diagnose the issue without charging the standard Diagnostic Service Call fee during regular business hours.

If you request emergency or after-hours service, the warranty will still apply to the diagnostic portion of the visit, however Emergency or after-hours dispatch fees may still apply.

Any parts or labour required to repair or resolve the issue during the return visit will be extra and will be quoted to and authorized by you, the customer, before any repairs are initiated.

WHAT VOIDS YOUR WARRANTY

If recommended repairs or required maintenance are declined or unable to be authorized, any future equipment failures resulting from those recommendations not being completed will not be covered under the 90-day diagnostic warranty.

Return calls following another company completing the  repairs we recommended or performing work on your unit related to the same reported symptom or failure related to the specific piece of equipment we originally inspected and diagnosed during the original service visit, will not be covered by your 90-day diagnostic warranty.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO

This warranty applies only to the same reported symptom or failure related to the specific piece of equipment inspected and diagnosed during the original service or maintenance visit, and does not extend to other equipment, systems, or unrelated issues within the home. Repairs must be authorized and completed within 30 days of the original diagnosis, unless delays occur due to parts availability, scheduling limitations, or other circumstances outside the customer’s control.

DIAGNOSTIC LIMITATIONS

While our technicians make every reasonable effort to accurately diagnose equipment issues using industry-standard practices and the information available at the time of service, certain problems may be hidden, intermittent, or may evolve after inspection.

In rare cases the full cause of an issue or an alternative underlying issue may only become clear after additional equipment operation or further investigation. Ashton Heating & Cooling INC cannot be held liable for diagnostic conclusions made in good faith based on the information available during the service visit.

If we arrive for a service call and the equipment is running properly, or our technician performs appropriate diagnostics but cannot recreate or identify the issue, the Diagnostic Service Call fee will still apply, as this fee covers technician dispatch, travel time, and the time spent performing diagnostic testing.

If the issue occurs again after the initial visit where the cause could not be identified, this situation will still fall within the 90-day diagnostic warranty, and we will gladly return to waive the standard Diagnostic Service Call fee during regular business hours and continue working to properly diagnose the problem.
